Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Clear Health?

Clear Health partners with your hospital to offer you outstanding care at a more affordable rate. We simplify the payment process by packaging all fees related to your care including the physician costs, hospital charges, supplies, and medications, so you only pay once with no additional bills. Our goal is to help the hospital offer you a better experience when paying out of pocket.

Why is Clear Health asking for payment upfront?

To allow you to save money when paying for your procedure. The hospital and the included physicians will allow you to have a significant discount if you pay upfront for your care. The cost involved in billing and waiting for payment is significant and if you pay upfront, we can pass those savings along to you.

Why do I owe 100% out of pocket when I have insurance?

You have a deductible which is the amount you owe out of pocket prior to your insurance paying for your care. When you have not yet hit that deductible, you are responsible for paying the contractual rate the hospital has negotiated with your insurance company. The Clear packaged rate is often significantly lower than your contractual rate and will save you money.

Why would my insurance company deny payment for my procedure?

There are a number of different reasons why your insurer might decline to pay for the care. Our goal is to offer you this discounted rate so you have the ability to move forward with your care if you so choose.
